The City of Takoma Park is hosting an Earth Day event on April 26 (27 rain
date)In honor of Earth Month, the City of Takoma Park will host a celebration in the Sligo Creek Stream Valley Park.

This event will feature several tables and tents set up alongside the park’s pathway and in close proximity to the new playground at Houston and Kennebec Ave. The park and playground are a popular weekend spot for families with children and residents of all ages, and the aim is to provide educational resources, materials, and activities to educate the public about the importance of sustainability and the available programs from the City of Takoma Park and surrounding area.
